Main purpose of the position:
|
· Definition of Line (area): Could be Bottle, Can, Keg, DM, or a mix of several. (Depending on number of lines, span of control and geographical proximity of plant) · Ensures that the defined packaging Line (area) operates safely and in accordance with legal and group standards · Responsible for all processes and people from bright beer/beverage receipt through to finished pallets on the end of the packaging line within the area · Responsible for the delivery of agreed production plans according to quality, cost and service criteria within the area · Responsible for the development of people within the area · Drive performance gaps closure and continuous improvement of Packaging KPIs through effective use of Carlsberg Excellence Methodologies · Ensure that all Carlsberg standard methods, tools and process are implemented in accordance with regional and global agreements · Actively participates as part of the packaging management team in order to develop and implement packaging strategy and objectives. · Responsible for people resource management – internal and 3rd party · Responsible for area people cycle – recruitment, training, development, recognition and discipline. · Area Budget management |

Educational / minimum requirements: |
Education and Experience: University degree in Engineering or technical equivalent. Managerial experience within a high-speed packaging environment · 5 years’ experience within a production environment with 2 years at manager or team leader level. · Proven experience in managing people and plant delivering performance improvements through Carlsberg Excellence methodology. Language skills: · Fluent in local language (spoken and written) · Good understanding of English (Advantageous but not a prerequisite) |

Job responsibilities: |
People Management · Leadership role model within the area · Responsible for managing compliance to HSE, food safety and hygiene and standards within the area · Responsible for managing within the site union/workers council agreements · Directly responsible for the active development of the area teams – team leader downwards · Responsible for developing and maintaining skills matrices, training plans and training records within the area · Directly responsible for managing people resource in line with the demand plan – including 3rd party · Recognises good work within the area · Responsible for team discipline within the area · Responsible for carrying out performance reviews of the teams within input from the Team Leaders · Ensures teamwork across areas Process Management · Responsible for managing area PMS - standard meetings, reporting systems and processes are effective and follow group standards · Responsible for ensuring packaging standards related to the area are complied with through SOP development, process confirmation and training Performance Management · Managing area financial budget/targets (OPEX) (as agreed with the Packaging Manager) · Achieving area KPI targets · Leading area improvement projects (Operational Savings)
Functional Specific Management · Ensure area KPIs are implicitly understood by the team and managed efficiently at an appropriate level (Eg: OEE, B&D, LEF, CO, loss, Pack Quality KPIs) · Implements Group COM Packaging standards within the area · Implements Group Packaging initiatives within the area.eg VIPEX, NPD initiatives and Capital Projects · Provides input into daily/weekly Packaging Plans · Provides input into daily/weekly Maintenance Plan · Leads investigation into quality and safety non compliances · Resolves issues escalated by Team Leader |

Stakeholders & Relations (Internal & External) |
· To manage expectations of key stakeholders; provide ongoing updates of actual vs. expected performance of the packaging area; identify obstacles and solutions to performance problems. Coordinating and aligning activities with main stakeholders: § B&P § Maintenance & Utilities § H&S § QA § Procurement § Controlling § Legal § Local Customer Supply Chain § Local and Central Planning § HR § Trade Unions § ISC ManTech § Regional Packaging Team External 3rd Party Supplier and Contractors
